POLICIES & PROCEDURE ON NUTRITIONAL ASSESSMENT OF PATIENT
Policy:
Nutritional
needs shall be assessed and re-assessed at regular interval. These nutritional
needs shall be addressed as per procedure.
All
special diet order shall be written in diet sheet the hospital shall allow the
family food for the patient only with consultant’s permission and under
dietician’s supervision. When families provide the food they shall be educated
about the patient’s diet limitation. The hospital shall issue pass for outside
/ family food and it shall be check by concerned authority or security
Hygienic
condition shall be maintained for provision of food to patients
Following
procedure shall be followed to address nutritional needs of patients. The
services of fulltime dietician are available with the hospital for OPD and IPD
patients.
